Waikanae is well connected by public transport, with regular Metlink train services from Waikanae Station into Wellington City and bus services linking the surrounding Kapiti Coast. The closest bus stop to the property is "Rutherford Street at Freyberg Crescent" which is just a few meters down the road on the corner, the bus number to catch to get to Waikanae Train station is the "280" this loops through Waikanae Beach on its way. From here you can easily connect onto a train into the city. Our local Waikanae Beach Four Square at 28 Tutere Street is our go-to for everything from bread and milk to Kāpiti ice cream, local cheeses and wine. You’ll also find fresh baking, hot food, flowers and a Lotto counter with really friendly staff. For a larger grocery shop, New World and Woolworths are both just a short drive away in Waikanae town centre.
